Service and food, everything was on point! We used to live nearby, and visiting with friends for the Sunday Roast was always a must. So glad to see it’s still just as great as it always was. We left fully satisfied and can’t wait to come back again!

Beautiful and atmospheric pub with a lovely designed dining area. Trio of sharing starters were delicious - great start to the meal - we had the croquettes, pate and the squid. Beef Sunday roast was also super yummy, as was the accompanying cauliflower cheese. Definitely would return as the food was cooked really well and the high quality of the ingredients used was clear.

Very thankful that the other reviews here were spot on and truly reflective of the quality of the food here. The food was amazing and is the one of the best of my many trips to London. The staff were attentive and very professional. It was lively without being too noisy so it was good we could have a nice and reasonably long lunch.

Best Sunday Lunch Spot! If you’re looking for a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere with outstanding food, this is the place to be. The special Turkey Roast was nothing short of fantastic—perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, accompanied by all the classic trimmings. The Yorkshire puddings were massive and delicious, and the sides, including the creamy cauliflower cheese and glazed carrots, were seasoned to perfection. The ambiance added to the experience, making it ideal for a relaxed Sunday lunch with loved ones. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort food at its finest!

I don't say this often or lightly - the food was *sublime*. This kitchen is operating at a very high level; complex, deep flavours balanced with light, seasonal flair. 10/10. No notes. (PS the menu looked meat heavy when I snooped before going, and it was, but there were vegetarian options and they were exquisite. My dad's lamb dish was apparently the best he's ever had).

Sunday roast was superb. Very tender chicken and lovely veg. Squid starter was also excellent. Marked the service down as the staff just seemed to disappear for ages after the starters (table next to us asked to have service charged removed). Overall very good though and will be back.

We went to The Hunters Moon while we were down in London on holiday. Over the years of holidaying in London, we have been to a few different places in London for a Sunday roast, most sadly were frozen veg, shop bought roast potatoes, shop bought Yorkshire Puddings. I had roast beef and my girlfriend had roast pork belly. It was by a massive amount the best Sunday roast we have ever had. The carrot puree that came with my roast beef was absolutely delicious. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding were both home made. The Yorkshire Pudding I had with my roast beef was easily 6 inches tall, and the roast potatoes were lovely and crisp and were absolutely delicious. Also the accompanying vegetables (which when we were there was green beans and cabbage) were all fresh veg. The roast pork belly that my girlfriend had, she informed me that it was delicious and was the best she had ever tasted, as were all the other things that came with it (roast potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, apple sauce, cabbage and green beans). We also got a couple of side dishes. One was cauliflower with a three cheese sauce and the second was pork, sage and black pudding stuffing. These were absolutely stunning. The cheese sauce was lovely and creamy and was a nice thick consistency. The black pudding that was in the stuffing, I must admit when reading it on the menu I was unsure of, but it complimented the pork and sage in the stuffing perfectly and was absolutely delicious. The service was very quick and we waited no time at all to be seen to, and after ordering our food was fetched to the table very quickly. All the staff who attended to us were all extremely friendly. I want to thank all the staff at The Hunters Moon, for leaving us with a very happy memory for us both, and needless to say that we will be heading back to The Hunters Moon when we are next in down in London.
